Security Officer Patrol Access Monitor – Sterling, VA. Full Time. Pay: $23.36 per hour.

Job Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor and/or vendor interactions in a professional manner.
Support daily operations by communicating with property personnel, following post orders, and completing required reports related to incidents, patrol activity, and/or maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Experience with access control and badge systems.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Customer service experience.
Alarm panel experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state and local laws.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
