Security Officer (Security Dispatch Agent)

Location: Sterling, VA

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.18 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wed 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM;
Thu 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location.
Monitor cameras, alarms, phones, radios, and dispatch systems, and communicate routine and urgent information to on‑site personnel in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
Respond to incidents, critical situations, and service requests by gathering details, documenting activity, and directing the appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
Maintain detailed logs, reports, and dispatch records related to security events, visitor activity, and operational concerns.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as needed, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
Experience with access control and badge issuance (preferred).
Customer service experience (preferred).
CPR and First Aid certification or experience (preferred).
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
