In addition to BIM electrical coordination and training, the company delivers U.S.

-based BIM support designed specifically for the electrical trade. E2 Tech Support’s executive team works exclusively with electrical professionals and includes P.E.

-licensed electrical engineers in New York, Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, and Florida, enabling custom design-build and permitting services. This commitment to technical expertise and training creates opportunities for team members to grow within a highly specialized electrical BIM environment.

Role Description

The Electrical Field Foreman at VDC Electrical Contractor Team is a full-time, on-site role based in Sterling, VA. This role oversees daily field operations for electrical construction projects, including supervising crew members, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans and specifications. The Electrical Field Foreman coordinates with project managers, BIM and engineering teams, and other trades to resolve field issues and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.

Typical responsibilities include reading and interpreting electrical drawings, organizing materials and tools, conducting quality checks, and supporting troubleshooting and problem resolution on-site. The role also involves promoting safety practices, mentoring team members, and contributing to continuous improvement of field processes.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in electricity and practical knowledge of electrical systems and components.
  • Experience in electrical contracting, including managing field crews and coordinating with project stakeholders.
  • Applied understanding of electrical engineering concepts relevant to construction and installation.
  • Hands‑on skills in electrical wiring, installation, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing problems, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Electrician, or similar supervisory role in commercial or industrial projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, BIM models, and technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills, with attention to safety and quality.
  • Familiarity with relevant electrical codes (e.g., NEC) and local permitting requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship in electrical trades is preferred.
  • Ability to work on‑site in Sterling, VA, including standing, lifting, and working in construction environments as required.
