Quince Imaging’s Event Engineer has a "can-do" attitude to assist our organization in supporting live events along with systems integration. The Event Engineer works in the office and at the event location. The Event Engineer encompasses all phases of engineering and technical support for the electronic equipment owned and or operated by Quince Imaging, Inc. The work environment is fast-paced and deadline oriented.

The schedule may be irregular at times, and the position may be physically demanding depending on the event environment. This position offers tremendous growth potential for anyone with video and projection experience to take the initiative to go above & beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with and under the direction of the Engineering Department to carry out regular inspection and maintenance of equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Travel to, set up, operate and strike equipment on live event sites.
  • Work with the Event Producer/Production Manager in coordination of pre-production and on‑site event support.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs on all major capital equipment identified by the company.
  • Gain experience and knowledge of our Event Management Software, Flex. Use and update daily, following established company processes and procedures.
  • Work with and under the direction of the Engineering Department to test/evaluate new products/technologies.
  • Maintain current and future inventory while keeping up to date on the latest firmware and hardware upgrades available

Knowledge/

Skills and Abilities:

  • Local to the DC/Maryland/Northern Virginia area
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in live event production, with exposure to video, projection, or LED systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one area of video production (such as projection mapping, switching, playback, or LED control) and a strong interest in learning more.
  • Eagerness to explore multiple roles such as Technical Director, Video Engineer, Graphics Operator, or E2 Operator as your skill set grows.
  • Basic understanding of UHD, 12G/3G SDI formats, scan rates, and high-resolution switching.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for events, from local Washington, D.C.

    -area productions to projects across the United States, and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by event schedules.
  • Proficient in Mac & PC, Microsoft Office, Word, MS Outlook, Windows, Excel and Adobe CC.
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks, Event Master, and Ross Dashboard a plus.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Must be an exceptionally resourceful self‑starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

TERM:40 or more hours per week dictated by event schedule

PAY: $80,490.28 - $90,259.55 per year

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
