Java Full-Stack Developer - TS​/SCI Cleared, Mission Critical

Marathon TS is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team in Sterling, VA, Chantilly, VA, Austin, TX, or Denver, CO. Our mission is to enhance Navy tactical operations by developing advanced shipboard intelligence and warfare systems. Using open-architecture software and electromagnetic spectrum expertise, we facilitate rapid, informed decisions.

Our team creates innovative data architectures, combining legacy and emerging threat detection capabilities with authoritative models to identify complex event patterns and support operator decision-making. We are developing next-generation threat detection and response solutions that integrate data lakes, data warehouses, and knowledge stores.

Responsibilities:

-Design and implement distributed server-based infrastructure and modern web-based applications.
-Collaborate with hardware/software designers, engineers, and analysts to develop, analyze, and evaluate systems.
-Evaluate emerging technologies to determine their benefits and drawbacks for virtual, web-based, and desktop applications.
-Work with development and testing teams to create quality and performance metrics and continuous testing systems.
-Contribute to the improvement of Dev Ops practices and culture.

Qualifications:

-Active TS/SCI security clearance.
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
-5 years of related experience, including Java development.
-Strong understanding of complex software design concepts.
-Ability to lead and mentor team members.
-Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Java.

- Experience with scripting languages like Python and BASH.
-Familiarity with Linux and real-time operating systems.
-Understanding of IP networking concepts.
-Strong analytical skills to work through complex issues.
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with AWS (including AWS certifications).
-Background in web technologies.

- Experience with database programming and cloud technologies.
-Proficiency in Python and scripting.
-Working knowledge of signal processing fundamentals.
-Willingness to learn and apply the best technology for a given application.
