Role:
Senior Software Engineer - Training Systems Software (Onsite)
- Design, develop, integrate, and test software on cross-functional agile teams to deliver solutions within budget, scope, and schedule constraints
- Act as a software development focal point with ownership and accountability for committed objectives
- Assist in analysis and decomposition of features
- Make and influence decisions impacting cost, schedule, and technical performance at a team level
- Perform multi-threaded software debugging
- Work independently with limited supervision
- Support bidding and proposal activities to acquire new business
- Contribute to software and systems engineering requirements capture and analysis
- Travel to domestic and international customer sites to support training events and product installations
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field with minimum 3 years of experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- Extensive experience with C++
- Experience with agile development practices and general software engineering design principles
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux development environments
- Ability to lead and share knowledge with peers
- Experience using Visual Studio and Eclipse
- Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops and Agile methodologies
- Experience with Win

64 APIs and Linux APIs - Experience working with databases (Postgre
SQL) - Strong object-oriented programming skills with C++ (STL, templates)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.)
- Experience using source control tools (SVN, GIT, etc.)
- Experience with ALM tools (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, Bamboo)
- Previous simulation or avionics experience
