Senior Software Engineer – Middleware & Backend Services

Support a development team focused on middleware and backend services. Design and develop Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for consuming applications, support data ingest applications, and develop matching services for data scientists and analysts. Collaborate closely with data ingestion teams, consuming applications, and system and architectural support groups.

• Demonstrated experience in Solr or Elastic Search
• Perform schema updates
• Submit Lucene queries
• Understand Solr/Elastic shard architecture
• Tune Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization
• Experience in a big‑data environment using Hadoop, PySpark, Spark, and HBase
• Back‑end Java development, with rigorous code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and production deployment
• College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree

• Experience with AWS services
• Experience with JIRA and Git Hub

TS/SCI with Polygraph required day 1.
