Position:Junior Logistics Specialist
Nightwing is seeking a Junior Logistics Specialist who is eager to learn and progressively apply new skills across a broad range of logistics and operational requirements while working under the guidance of experienced logistics professionals. The candidate will work in a warehouse operations environment as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and inventorying materials and equipment.
- Support materials transportation activities, including packing, shipping, and receiving functions.
- Follow established procedures for the safe handling and storage of materials, including hazardous materials when required.
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records to prevent damage and loss.
- Update inventory management systems to ensure accurate stock records and material accountability.
- Support process improvement initiatives that enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.
- Report potential hazards and support warehouse safety requirements.
- Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance issues.
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Poly
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow security guidelines related to material handling and movement.
- Current forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under deadlines, and maintain accuracy and quality standards.
- Ability to follow assigned tasks through completion and seek guidance when needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn new databases and applications.
- Willingness to support operational requirements beyond traditional business hours as needed.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, inventory, logistics, supply chain, or shipping/receiving environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management principles and material accountability practices.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures and safe material handling techniques.
- Possession of a valid CDL Class A or Class B license, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
