Material Handler

Talascend is currently seeking a Material Handler for a contract opportunity with our client in Sterling, Virginia
.

This role involves performing a wide array of warehousing tasks at a production and integration facility supporting Department of Defense customers. Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, inventorying, and handling materials to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

• Stock inventoried materials on shelves
• Pick materials for production orders and deliver to assigned points of contact
• Perform cycle counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies
• Package and ship products
• Assist with other warehousing tasks as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and climb ladders
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education

• Experience in a hardware production environment
• Familiarity with MRP systems, preferably Costpoint
• Understanding of ISO, Quality Assurance, and Configuration Management practices
• Knowledge of Electrostatic Display (ESD) and materials protection
