Summary Of Position
Teaches undergraduate courses in mechanical engineering technology. Faculty members are expected to maintain a consistent, in-person presence on location throughout the standard workweek. This includes being available on-site each day to support students, collaborate with colleagues, and participate fully in the academic life of the institution. Regular on-site engagement during normal business hours is an essential component of this role.
Position InformationPlans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Minimum Qualifications:
At least a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field; and extensive knowledge in the areas of statics, dynamics, Solid Works, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and machine design.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Engineering (MS) or Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or related field. Prior teaching experience in the areas of statics, dynamics, Solid Works, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, robotics, numerical control and machine design. Certification in Solid Works, robotics, and/or numerical control.
Physical Requirements:
In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.
Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
