Cardiac Med Intermediate LPN unit, 24 hours per week, nights, located at Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Jefferson, MO 63028. The unit is an intermediate step down from intensive care but higher acuity than med/surg. It serves primarily cardiac patients with respiratory distress, septic conditions, and an acute respiratory mix requiring high flow or new bipap but no ventilators. The fast‑paced unit combines aspects of ED and ICU, demanding strong assessment skills and teamwork.

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed prescriber or a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Maintain professional accountability for the care of assigned patients.
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Provide care for a mix of cardiac, respiratory distress, septic, and other acute conditions as determined by physicians.
• Support the critical‑care aspects of ICU while managing the busyness of an ED setting.

• Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• Current LPN license in Missouri or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association).
• IV Certification within one year of hire.
