Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic
Penn Line Tree Service, Inc. is seeking a mobile mechanic to provide maintenance and repair support to a utility line tree clearance contractor. The role requires servicing light to medium‑duty trucks, heavy equipment, and performing routine maintenance on specialized equipment such as boom trucks, diesel trucks, and industrial mowing equipment. Candidates with hydraulics experience are preferred. A valid Commercial Driver’s License is preferred but not required;
applicants may be asked to haul equipment and materials between multiple job sites and the corporate office. The mechanic will work from a mobile service unit traveling to various field locations to perform on‑site repairs, and must be able to provide their own tools. Two to four years of mechanic experience or certification in automotive and diesel truck repair from an accredited trade school is preferred.
- Provide mobile maintenance and repair support to utility line tree clearance contractors.
- Service light to medium‑duty trucks, heavy equipment, boom trucks, diesel trucks, and industrial mowing equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on specialized equipment.
- Haul equipment and materials between job sites and the corporate office.
- Travel to field locations and perform on‑site repairs from a mobile service unit.
- Provide and maintain own tools.
- Follow all safety and company policies while working remotely.
- Two to four years of mechanic experience or certification in automotive and diesel truck repair.
- Experience with hydraulics is a plus.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
- Ability to work independently and travel to multiple field sites.
- Strong problem‑solving and mechanical skills.
