Maintenance Technician – Jefferson Metropolitan Housing Authority

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing routine and skilled maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs at JMHA properties. They ensure that buildings and facilities are well‑maintained, safe, and in good working order, troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance, and responding to work orders promptly.

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks, including building and grounds maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs, to ensure the safety and functionality of JMHA properties.
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and safety considerations.
• Collaborate with team members to address complex maintenance challenges and complete larger repair projects.

Full‑time, Monday through Friday 8 am–4:30 pm with on‑call rotation. Pay range commensurate with experience starting at $20.06/hour.

All applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by our agency insurance carrier. Minimum two years experience in construction trades or general maintenance, and/or completion of a vocational trade program.
