Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

We are working a newly created Accountant position for a growing manufacturing company in the Wausau area. This position will have a direct line to the Controller, who will be very involved with getting you up to speed, then evolving into a hands‑off boss, yet always there as a resource. The company is growing both through acquisitions as well as organically, so it is an exciting time to be there!

• Prepare and enter journal entries to the general ledger.
• Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and subledgers, ensuring data integrity and alignment with accounting policies.
• Assist with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
• Maintaining a daily bank reconciliation process.
• Recording and monitoring inventory transactions.
• Assist with external audits of company's accounts.
• Prepare and review detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing insights to leadership.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ years of accounting experience.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Problem‑solving/process improvement mindset.
• Attention to detail and organization skills.
