Administrative Assistant – Disability Resource Center
Job ProfileUniversity Staff – Regular full‑time, hourly, non‑exempt, 12‑month position.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Manages efficient office operations, including reception-related functions.
- Recruits, trains, and supervises student staff.
- Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, providing basic organizational information via phone, in person, and other communication mediums.
- Collects, analyzes, and prepares communication materials using established sources and technology mediums.
- Maintains established methods and organizational systems for electronic and physical records in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to appropriate entities under general supervision.
- Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations.
- Partners with counterparts in the Academic and Career Advising Center, Tutoring Learning Center, and Office of International Education to support a shared‑reception operation.
- Formal experience in customer/client service environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting.
- Formal experience recruiting, training, and supervising part‑time employees or volunteers.
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities in educational, rehabilitation, health care, social service, or related settings.
- Experience with electronic platforms that manage records, scheduling, customer/client relations, and other work processes.
