Are you organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We're looking for a Records & Materials Handler to join our team!
In this role, you'll be responsible for sorting, filing, and maintaining our stored records, ensuring easy access and timely purging according to established policies. You'll also play a key part in fulfilling supply requisitions, pulling and packing orders for Sentry personnel nationwide, and managing inventory documentation.

What You'll Do- Logs and processes incoming records and closed files: sorts incoming boxes, affixes bar code labels, stages files per retention date, determines appropriate storage location, records files in scanner, transfers file info to database, places boxes/files in appropriate area, etc.
- Reviews and processes electronic and telephone requests for stored materials, answers questions, resolves user group issues, and communicates with user groups as appropriate.
- Routinely moves files from active storage area to inactive, long-term storage according to retention dates and established procedures.
- Purges and destroys stored material per established procedures, updates records storage handbook, verifies accuracy of assigned holding periods.
- Receives supply requisitions from Agency personnel, Sales Representatives, and Sentry employees.
- Inputs orders into the computerized inventory control system; pulls supplies to fill orders.
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- No experience required.
- Filing skills.
- Ability to move 50 pounds and operate forklifts and motorized hand carts.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Experience using personal computer and shipping/inventory software.
- Must maintain a current driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record if driving a company vehicle.
- Ability to be flexible and respond positively to frequently changing assignments.
- Ability to complete assignments timely and with minimal direct supervision, and operate well in a team environment.
