Records & Materials Handler

Overview

Records & Materials Handler position to support records management and supply fulfillment for Sentry employees nationwide.

• Log and process incoming records and closed files. Sort boxes, affix barcode labels, stage files by retention date, determine storage location, record files in scanner, transfer file information to database, place boxes/files in appropriate area.
• Review and process electronic and telephone requests for stored materials, answer questions, resolve user group issues, and communicate with user groups.
• Move files from active to inactive, long‑term storage per retention dates and procedures.
• Purge and destroy stored material following established procedures, update records storage handbook, and verify accuracy of holding periods.
• Receive supply requisitions from Agency personnel, Sales Representatives, and Sentry employees.
• Input orders into the computerized inventory control system and pull supplies to fulfill orders.

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience. No experience required.
• Filing skills.
• Ability to move 50 pounds and operate forklifts and motorized hand carts.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Experience using personal computer and shipping/inventory software.
• If operating a company vehicle, must hold a current driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Flexible and responsive to frequently changing assignments.
• Capable of completing assignments in a timely manner with minimal direct supervision and working well in a team environment.
