Summary Of Job
Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Concession Manager is responsible for the daily operations, supervision and proficiency of the Willett Arena Concessions.
Tasks Routinely Performed- Promotion and marketing of food.
- Assist with ordering, inventory and storage of all food and beverage products.
- Assist in training and supervising part-time staff and volunteer help.
- Supervise safe food handling practices and procedures.
- Lead opening and closing procedures.
- Oversee the stand while in operation.
- Maintain deep cleaning schedule of concession stand and its equipment.
- Maintain good relations with co-workers, supervisors, volunteer workers, vendors, and guests.
- K.B. Willett policies and procedures outlined in the employee manual.
- Good written and verbal communication and computer skills.
- Must have and be able to demonstrate good public relations skills.
- Must be able to get along and work with fellow employees.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to work in cold, damp, hot, or loud conditions.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Must be able to bend, twist, and squat occasionally for 6-8 hours per day and be able to lift 50-100 pounds.
- Ability to read/write and follow verbal and written directions.
- Must be able to continuously walk or stand for 4-8 hours.
- Must be able to operate point of sale software and cash drawer.
- Must be proficient in mathematics.
- Must have the ability to work unsupervised.
- Must have management skills to supervise concession staff.
- Must be able to multitask.
