Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Join our esteemed healthcare team as an Internal Medicine Specialist focusing on Hematology and Oncology, where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and advance clinical excellence.
This role offers a unique opportunity to provide outpatient care through new consultations and follow-ups, with oversight of treatment plans. You will work on-site 3-4 days per week over a two-week schedule, with no inpatient duties and no call responsibilities. All inpatient cases are managed by Wausau’s tertiary care center, and procedures are not required for this position. This is an ideal role for dedicated professionals seeking a balanced schedule in a supportive environment.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license and board certification in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology
- Proven experience in outpatient consultation and follow-up care
- Excellent clinical judgment and patient management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Skills:
- Prior experience in oncology or hematology subspecialties
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with outpatient clinic operations
Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in hematology and oncology
- Active medical license in the applicable state
- Ability to work on-site 3-4 days per week during scheduled periods
- Must hold current certifications and licenses, with the ability to renew as required
- No inpatient procedures or supervision of advanced practice providers (APPs) required
- Commitment to providing high-quality outpatient care without inpatient responsibilities
