About the Position
Join Our Team as an Internal Medicine – Hematology and Oncology Specialist

Are you a dedicated physician passionate about hematology and oncology care? We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology specialist to deliver high-quality outpatient services within a dynamic healthcare environment.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives while enjoying a balanced schedule centered around outpatient clinics.

In this position, you will work on-site 3-4 days per week over two weeks each month, focusing exclusively on outpatient consultations and follow-up care. Your responsibilities include managing new patient assessments, overseeing ongoing treatment plans, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care without the need for inpatient duties or emergency call. All inpatient cases are referred to a tertiary care facility in Wausau, allowing you to concentrate on outpatient services without the burden of inpatient responsibilities or procedural requirements.

Required Skills:

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution

Board certification or eligible in Hematology and Oncology

Valid medical license to practice within the jurisdiction

Proven experience in outpatient hematology and oncology clinics

Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice to Have

Skills:

Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems

Experience participating in multidisciplinary care teams

Knowledge of current hematology and oncology treatment protocols

Prior experience with outpatient-only practice settings

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Completion of a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology

At least 2 years of post-fellowship outpatient clinical experience

Experience working within a team-based healthcare environment

Other Requirements:

Willingness to work on-site as scheduled

Commitment to maintaining current licensure and certifications

Ability to travel for professional development or occasional conferences, reimbursed when applicable
