Locum Tenens Urologist - Stevens Point, WI. Board-certified urologist needed for clinic and operating room (OR) coverage in Central Wisconsin. Flexible start dates; competitive weekly pay and travel physician support.

• Location: Stevens Point, WI 54481 - serving Central Wisconsin (Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids)
• Start Date: March 23, 2026 (ASAP considered)
• Duration: 13 weeks to start; intermittent coverage through Nov 2026; full-time need Nov 2026-Apr 2027
• Hours per Week: 36 hours (days/times flexible)
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts as needed
• Setting: Outpatient clinic and Operating Room (OR) - clinic & OR urology coverage
• Patient Encounters: 16 per clinic shift
• OR Time: 2-3 days per week
• Call: System call based out of Wausau, 7-10 days/month (includes one weekend)
• Outreach: Possible 1-2 days/month in Wisconsin Rapids
• Trauma Level: Level III
• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days (Wisconsin medical license required)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,310-$7,480 per week

• MD or DO with Board Certification in Urology (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Experience in general adult urology (no minimum years required)
• Ability to obtain Wisconsin state medical licensure (WI license)
• Familiarity with outpatient urology clinic workflow and OR procedures
• Preferred procedural experience (helpful for OR-heavy shifts):
  • Endoscopic procedures, ureteroscopy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL)
  • Laparoscopic/robotic prostatectomy, radical cystectomy, nephrectomy
  • Pelvic lymph node dissection, adrenalectomy, renal/bladder ultrasound, TRUS biopsies
  • Incontinence procedures, penile prosthesis, ESWL, fertility evaluations
  • Renal transplant and advanced pediatric urology (a plus)

• Deliver comprehensive general urology care in outpatient clinic settings: evaluation, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment planning
• Perform urologic procedures and surgeries in the OR with high-quality perioperative and postoperative care
• Participate in scheduled system call coverage and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the health system
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely; communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Support regional outreach clinics (e.g., Wisconsin Rapids) to expand access to urology services across Central Wisconsin
