Job Duties:
The School of Humanities and Global Studies is committed to fostering an equitable, diverse, inclusive, and socially just community. We are seeking applications from individuals who share this commitment. The successful candidate for this position will teach undergraduate courses in the Historical Perspectives category of the General Education Program (HP). These courses serve all UWSP students required to take at least 3 credits of HP.
The candidate may also be asked to teach upper-level courses in the candidate's field(s) of specialty. Most instruction will be in-person. This is an academic year appointment.

Job Responsibilities:
* May supervise student employees involved in development or delivery of instruction
* Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction, including assessment of student performance
* Advises students on academic and career direction within a specific field of study
* Contributes to the strategic development of curriculum and academic content through various mediums to ensure the integrity of the educational mission of the work unit
* Contributes to the development of teaching and learning scholarly work including publications and presentations
* Develops and designs curriculum and instructional material relevant to a course of instruction
* Collaborates with department faculty and staff to develop teaching strategies relevant to the discipline
Department:
The UW-Stevens Point Department of History and International Studies has 9 full-time teaching faculty and staff offering majors in History, History and Social Studies Education, and International Studies.

Required Qualifications:
* Master's degree in history.
* Research and teaching experience in a non-US field.
* Demonstrated ability to teach an introductory undergraduate course that meets the learning outcomes in the historical perspectives category of the general education program at UWSP ().
* Demonstrated ability to teach an upper-level course aimed at majors in the candidate's field(s) of expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Earned doctorate in History. ABD will also be considered.
* Ability to teach history of Latin America, Africa, or Middle East
* Ability to teach modern Europe
* Demonstrated commitment to reflective teaching practices
* Experience and evidence of success with college level instruction
* Experience teaching online asynchronous courses
