Strength & Conditioning Assistant Coach

The Strength & Conditioning Assistant Coach manages all individual and group strength and conditioning programs to meet the nutritional, physical, and mental development needs of student athletes. The Assistant Coach will also provide technical and professional supervision of the preparation of student athletes for Division III Intercollegiate athletic competition through the utilization of scientifically based principles of athletic performance training.

Key

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serves as a point of contact and liaison to coaching staff, medical professionals, and student-athletes to monitor physical health, improve athletic abilities, and provide information and coaching
  • Assists with the instruction and execution of conditioning simulations and exercises for a designated athletic team, provides information, and consults with student-athletes regarding weight lifting and conditioning techniques and safety
  • Enters and maintains computerized data and tracking of individual and team student-athlete workouts
  • Assists in the development and monitoring of individual and team weight training and conditioning programs

Compensation & Benefits:

The Strength & Conditioning Assistant Coach is a full-time, salaried, exempt, annual (12-month), limited appointee position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous successful strength coaching experience
  • Familiarity with Division III athletics
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to athletes as students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • USAW Level 1 Certification
  • Current NSCA - CSCS or CSCCa-SCC Certification
  • Associate's or higher degree
