Student Teaching Supervisor – School of Education (Continuous Recruitment)
We are seeking Student Teaching Supervisors to support UWSP teacher candidates throughout their student teaching semester and complete observation assessments required for licensure. Supervisors will be hired on a per-student basis each semester and may be considered for future opportunities based on need.
Key Responsibilities- Support teacher candidates across a variety of license areas, including early childhood, K‑12 special education, elementary, physical & health education, English, social studies, mathematics, science, ESL, Spanish, German, and music.
- Conduct observation assessments following PI‑34.023 and other licensure requirements.
- Assist with placement coordination, training, and professional development resources.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each candidate.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in an education‑related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a licensed teacher in one of the listed areas or as a licensed K‑12 administrator.
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and ability to become an approved UWSP driver.
- Experience mentoring early career educators and/or pre‑service teachers.
- Strong digital communication skills (email and video conferencing).
