Job DutiesLecturers are hired on a per‑course basis each semester. The teaching hours will vary with a teaching load ranging between 1-12 credits per semester.
Key Job Responsibilities- Develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
- Facilitate classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
- Serve as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
The School of Education (SOE) is part of the College of Professional Studies. SOE develops highly qualified professional educators and leaders who honor the uniqueness of all learners and actively demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to positively impact our diverse world for a sustainable future.
Required Qualifications- Earned master’s degree in an appropriate field
- Evidence of successful teaching in PK-12 and/or in higher education
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrated expertise and experience in the specialty area
- Earned PhD or EdD in an appropriate field
- Experience in collaborative and/or inclusionary settings
- Demonstrated commitment to student success
