Job Duties:

This is a tenure-track faculty position with expectations for teaching on-campus full-time during the academic year. The responsibilities associated with this position include: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of food and nutrition; engaging in research and scholarship activities; and engaging in service to the department, university and profession.

Compensation:
The Assistant Professor of Food and Nutrition is a full-time, salaried, exempt, academic year (9-month), faculty position. Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting annual salary of $56,000 annually commensurate with the candidate’s education, related experience, and qualifications. Required Qualifications:
  • Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in food and/or nutrition related field, or ABD nearing completion with retention dependent upon completing the doctorate within one year of initial hire
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Effective and collaborative team member
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Licensed or eligible for license in Wisconsin as a Registered Dietician
  • Academic course teaching experience
