Lecturer of Education – School of Education (Continuous Recruitment)

While there may not be an immediate need for a lecturer in every area, UW-Stevens Point (UWSP) accepts applications regardless, in order to create a pool for when there may be a need. Upon successful submission of your application, you will be considered for future part-time lecturer opportunities, and your application will be on file as a potential candidate who could possibly fill a position if or when the need arises.

  • Elementary Education (including subject-specific teaching methods)
  • Special Education
  • Physical and Health Education
  • Education Foundations (including educational psychology, classroom management, and pluralism in education)
  • Educational Sustainability
  • Language and Literacy
  • Trauma-Informed Pedagogy
  • Education Research Methods

Lecturers are hired on a per-course basis each semester, and teaching one semester does not guarantee being assigned the following semester. The teaching hours for a lecturer will vary with a teaching load ranging between 1-12 credits per semester.

The School of Education (SOE) is part of the College of Professional Studies. SOE develops highly qualified professional educators and leaders who honor the uniqueness of all learners and actively demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to positively impact our diverse world for a sustainable future. Required Qualifications:

  • Earned master's degree in an appropriate field
  • Evidence of successful teaching in PK-12 and/or in higher education
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated expertise and experience in the specialty area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned PhD or EdD in an appropriate field
  • Experience in collaborative and/or inclusionary settings
  • Demonstrated commitment to student success
