Assistant Professor of Finance

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (Sentry School of Business and Economics). Tenure-track position starting Fall 2026. Full-time, salaried, exempt academic year (9-month) faculty role.

The assistant professor - Finance is a full-time, salaried, exempt, academic year (9-month) faculty position. Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting annual salary within a range of $100,000-$122,920 annually, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. • Tenure-track opening beginning Fall 2026.
• 4-4 teaching load split between teaching Principles of Finance and upper-level finance courses, particularly advanced classes in corporate finance and investments.
• Opportunity to teach in the MBA program and at branch campuses in Wausau and Marshfield.
• Strong candidates will have a demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level and conduct scholarly research.
• Although teaching-oriented, scholarly activity, professional growth, and university service are required.
• Department:
  Sentry School of Business and Economics.

• Earned doctorate (PhD, DBA, etc.) in Finance or a related field (e.g., Economics with a finance emphasis, Accounting with finance emphasis, etc.) from an AACSB or equivalently accredited college or university, or other high-quality institution.

• Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level, particularly Principles of Finance/Corporate Finance, Investments, Portfolio Management, and other advanced Corporate Finance topics.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct scholarly research.
• Relevant professional experience.

• Employment will require a criminal background check.
• Will also require the candidate to supply a minimum of three (3) professional references (one (1) current or former supervisor). It is preferred that the candidate supplies five (5) professional references (two (2) current or former supervisors). References will be required to answer questions regarding misconduct, sexual violence and sexual harassment.
