UW-Stevens Point’s College of Natural Resources is seeking an experienced forestry leader to serve as Director of the Wisconsin Forestry Center (WFC) and faculty member in Forestry.
This full-time, 12-month tenure-track position combines strategic leadership, applied research, Extension outreach, grant development, and undergraduate teaching.
What You’ll Do- Lead WFC programs, personnel, budgets, facilities, and strategic initiatives
- Develop and secure external funding for forestry research and outreach
- Build partnerships with forestry professionals and stakeholders across Wisconsin and beyond
- Lead innovative Extension, workforce development, and community outreach programs
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students
- Teach up to 2 undergraduate courses per academic year
- Represent UW-Stevens Point and Extension Forestry at state, regional, and national levels
PhD in Forestry or a terminal business degree applicable to Forestry/Forest Products, along with demonstrated experience in grants, leadership, supervision, budgeting, partnerships, and strategic planning.
