Hi! I m a fun-loving young woman with a beautiful, contagious smile and a joyful personality. I love spending time with people, listening to music, going for walks outdoors, and sharing lots of laughter along the way. I m blind and non-verbal, but that don t stop me from enjoying life to the fullest. I communicate in my own ways, and the people who get to know me quickly learn how expressive and engaging I can be.

This isn t a traditional caregiving positionit s an opportunity to build a genuine connection and spend meaningful, active time together. Most of our time will be spent playing, exploring, enjoying music, taking walks, and creating fun, confidence-building experiences that make each day special. Community Horizons is assisting a local family in finding a warm, energetic, and engaged companion to spend time with a young adult woman in her home, on the north side of Stevens Point. This is not a traditional caregiving position it s an opportunity to build connection, share laughter and enjoy meaningful, active time together. Most of your time will be spent in active play and social engagement, creating fun, confidence-building experiences that bring joy to her day.

This young woman is blind and non-verbal, and she is full of joy and loves to have fun! If you re someone who enjoys staying active, being social, and making each moment enjoyable and meaningful, we d love to hear from you! This role is part of a self-direction program, meaning you will work directly for the family rather than through an agency.

This offers flexibility, a comfortable one-on-one relationship, and the chance to make a personal impact. If you have a few hours to spare each week and a heart for creating positive, uplifting experiences, we d love to connect with you!

$16.66 per hour

4-20 hours per week, daytime, afternoon and evening hours available. There is also opportunity for respite/backup hours if it works with your schedule.

• Engage in one-on-one interactions that promote connection and fun
• Encourage social, emotional, and recreational engagement
• Support activities that build confidence and joy
• Provide limited personal cares, including brief changes and feeding/medication assistance

• Experience in supporting Individuals With Developmental Disabilities A Good Communicator Who enjoys helping others thrive through active interaction Comfortable initiating conversation and activities Excited to bring energy, patience, and creativity to every visit
