JOB REQUIREMENTS

Are you someone who is naturally friendly, dependable, and enjoys making someone's day a little brighter? I’m looking for a Personal Support Assistant to join my caregiving team and provide a combination of everyday assistance, companionship, and support in my home on the north side of Stevens Point, close to Sentry Insurance. This is a relaxed, one-on-one position that would be a great fit for someone who enjoys conversation, laughter, and getting to know the person they support.

Hours & Pay: 12 hours per day beginning around 8:00 AM one weekend per month. Weekend coverage may include an afternoon/evening shift on both Saturday and Sunday, depending on availability $17.35 per hour.

I’m an easygoing person who likes to keep things relaxed and have a good laugh. I enjoy spending time with people and appreciate someone who is comfortable being themselves and having a conversation. When I’m relaxing at home, you might find me watching Hallmark, The Golden Girls, or The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Music is also a big part of my life, especially 80s music, along with artists such as Bon Jovi, One Republic, Imagine Dragons, Florida Georgia Line, and Yungblud.

Other things I enjoy include: playing cards, shopping, spending time with my two cats, getting outdoors when the weather is nice, taking short walks, talking, laughing, and enjoying good company. I love kids and have a fun, playful personality.

The person I’m looking for should enjoy conversation and genuine companionship, not just completing a list of tasks.

Depending on the day, your responsibilities may include:

• Providing conversation, companionship, and social interaction
• Helping prepare meals
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Assisting with sit-to-stand transfers and getting in or out of bed
• Assistance with commode use
• Providing occasional help with sponge bathing, primarily with areas I cannot reach independently
• Washing hair at the sink
• Helping with socks and shoes when needed, particularly on appointment days
• Taking short walks outdoors together when the weather permits
• Helping keep the home comfortable and tidy
