Position Overview

Receiving and Inventory Associate – Student Hourly Job

Job Summary

The Receiving and Inventory Associate assists with the smooth receiving and inventory of products needed to run a large‑scale food services operation on a college campus.

Responsibilities
  • Complete proper receiving procedures, safety, inventory, and stocking of materials for the DeBot Center (Upper Dining Center & Lower Marketplace) and the Dreyfus University Center Food Court.
  • Assist with reconciliation of physical inventory against the database.
  • Follow reporting procedures if theft is observed to mitigate loss.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, attend mandatory staff meetings, and complete the University Dining Orientation Canvas course and mandatory trainings before the first shift.
  • Abide by policies outlined in the University Dining Student Employment Handbook and department‑specific procedures.
  • Maintain punctuality and professionalism on all shifts.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 hours per week of work.
  • Exceptional math and observation skills.
  • Must be able to be certified to drive a UWSP vehicle.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift items weighing up to 60lb for storing, stocking, and handling products.
  • At least a part‑time student (≥6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) in good academic standing (minimum 2.0 cumulative and semester GPA).
  • Pass a criminal background check (only relevant criminal activity will be considered).
  • Complete all UWSP mandatory training and department food‑handling training during onboarding.
  • Successful completion of an eight‑week probationary period and a subsequent performance evaluation.
Compensation

Base wage: $12.50 per hour.
