As the Organizational Development Ameri Corps VISTA member, you will take Central Wisconsin Habitat for Humanity's strategic plan and turn it into an action plan, paving the way for Habitat for Humanity to build and repair more homes in Portage County, Wisconsin. OUTREACH & COMMUNICATIONS
- Develop a communications and outreach plan that will aid with volunteer recruitment, fundraising, and other organizational needs.
- In partnership with the Board of Directors, implement the plan. This may include designing digital and print materials, coordinating the project timeline, and tabling at community events.
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
- Assess the organization's volunteer needs. Review existing strategies.
- Develop a plan to increase volunteer recruitment and retention while automating/streamlining processes and procedures.
FUNDRAISING
- Based on the organizational assessment, subject research, and the direction of organizational leadership, develop a fundraising plan. This could include, events, traditional donor appeals, and social media campaigns.
- Develop metrics to measure success.
Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope--envisioning a world where everyone has a decent plan to live. Central Wisconsin Habitat for Humanity serves Portage County, including Stevens Point, Plover, and Whiting. An all-volunteer organization, they have partnered with nearly 30 families to build safe, affordable homes.
