Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - RN

50-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Stevens Point, WI

Salaried wage up to $108k

Summary of Position

Responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing (DON) in the management and delivery of nursing services, including planning, organization, direction, supervision, and evaluation of all nursing services provided in the center. Assists the DON in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and implementation of center nursing core programs. Maintains records and reports concerning resident care and ensures orientation and training of nursing staff.

Manages the nursing department within budget in the absence of the DON, follows all center policies and procedures, and is subject to an on‑call rotation. This is a working manager position requiring time on the floor with residents and staff.

Requirements of the Position Required

Education and Experience
  • Current RN license with the state
  • Strong financial and management skills, with flexibility to accommodate a variable work schedule and occasional overnight travel
  • Ability to interact positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other center staff; a special interest and positive attitude towards working with long‑term care residents and the elderly
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English and meeting all health requirements as required by law
  • Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn company applications; computer proficiency with Microsoft products
  • Subject to call schedule

Education and Experience
  • Experience in a fast‑paced environment
  • Post‑acute care or health‑care RN experience
