Travel Nurse - Nights - Medical Unit

Travel Long Term Care RN

Location:

Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Travel assignment: 13 weeks

• One year of recent experience as an RN in a long‑term care setting
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Other certifications may be required depending on facility requirements

• Assess patient or resident health, monitor for changes, and take appropriate action to ensure their well‑being
• Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the patient care team
• Observe residents for medication reactions or changes in condition and report concerns to the healthcare provider
• Provide treatments including wound care, IV therapy, catheter management, and other skilled procedures within scope of practice
• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs, delegating appropriately to ensure residents receive quality care
• Educate residents and families on medications, treatments, and the management of chronic conditions
• Document care provided, resident progress, and any health changes in a timely manner
• Respond quickly to emergencies, delivering critical care and coordinating with medical teams when needed
• Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
• Adhere to facility safety protocols, infection‑control guidelines, and regulatory standards

• English language proficiency: ability to read, write, and communicate
• Physical abilities: remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Technical/motor skills: grasp, fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
• Mental: cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; work under close supervision occasionally, and also independently when required
• Sensory: possess visual acuity and the ability to communicate effectively
