Assistant Manager – Lower DeBot Marketplace, Retail Operations Manager, and Student Manager – Lower DeBot Marketplace.
Accepting work‑study and regular pay applicants. The role requires applying for the University Dining position through the student employment application after completing the Workday application.
Responsibilities- Display items for sale in the Lower DeBot Marketplace and manage shelves and cases to ensure continuous availability.
- Assist in inventory management, monitoring stock levels, and prompting re‑orders as items run low.
- Set up and remove promotional materials and advertising signs on shelves, counters, or tables.
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings and complete required orientations and trainings.
- Unpack and store merchandise in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Stock shelves, racks, coolers, and bins with new or transferred merchandise.
- Answer customer questions about merchandise and advise on selections.
- Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles while maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to comply with safety regulations.
- Receive and count stock items; record data manually or in the PDA system.
- Keep records of damaged stock and dispose, return, or correct defective items.
- Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items for reorder or replenishment.
- Follow proper reporting procedures if theft is observed.
- Complete University Dining Orientation Canvas course and Mandatory Trainings (Mandated Reporter and Information Security courses).
- Abide by policies outlined in the University Dining Student Employment Handbook and department specific procedures.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per week.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift items weighing up to 60 lbs when storing, stocking, and handling products and/or inventory items.
- All applicants must be a part‑time student (at least 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and maintain a cumulative and semester GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Must pass a criminal background check; only criminal activity directly pertaining to the position will be evaluated.
- Must complete all UWSP mandatory trainings and department specific food‑handling trainings as part of onboarding.
- Upon completion of an eight‑week probationary period, a performance evaluation will be conducted with results impacting future employment.

CompensationBase Wage: $12.50 per hour.
