Overview
Building Services Department is hiring for a Building Services Project Specialist. The Building Services Project Specialist performs paraprofessional and administrative project management work for new construction, remodeling, space programming and general facility improvement projects for County buildings.
Desirable Experience- Paid work experience and proficiency in project documentation, file organization, and budget tracking
- Paid work experience interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Paid work experience with project tracking tools (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet) and closeout processes
- Paid work experience and proficiency in written communication skills including creating agendas, taking meeting minutes, project updates, and executive summaries
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, life safety, furniture) a plus
Your training and experience will be rated based on the required application material submitted and the top scoring candidates will be forwarded to the hiring department for further consideration.
Hours / Days8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Work schedules (hours and days) and location are subject to change based on department needs.
Anticipated Hiring Rate$26.18 – $30.91 hourly

- Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Construction Management, or a directly related field
- Two years of work experience in building services, building construction, planning, or project management; a directly related internship may count towards required experience or be considered equivalent
- Valid Class D driver’s license
- Certification in AutoCAD within 6 months of employment
