Mon‑Thurs (8:15‑3:45 pm) at the Early Childhood Family Center.
Job SummaryParaprofessional needed to support Early Childhood Special Education at the Early Childhood Family Center, working with students with Developmental Delay, Emotional/Behavior Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, High Needs, and other disabilities. Experience working with young children (birth‑age 5) with special needs is preferred. The candidate may also need to provide support, such as toileting.
RequirementsIn order to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualified within 10 days of your first day of work. To be considered Highly Qualified, you must have one of the following:
- A Bachelor’s Degree, or
- An Associate’s Degree, or
- 60+ credits of post‑secondary education, or
- A passing score on the Para Pro Exam.
Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications. Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college/university or a copy of the Para Pro Exam report.
