6.5 Special Ed Paraprofessional
- Stonebridge Elementary (temporary position)

Special Education Para to work with students with academic and behavior disabilities. Emphasis on quality relationships with students and colleagues. Relational greatness with students and adults is required. Consistent, reliable attendance is required. Willingness to calmly work in a setting that can be highly emotional. Special Education Paraprofessional will provide instructional and behavioral support for students with significant behavioral needs. This position involves working with special education students who need encouragement and instruction to help manage their emotions.

Candidate experience in elementary setting strongly preferred. Hours per day: 6.5 hours per day, Monday
- Friday, student contact days.

In order to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualified prior to your start date. To be considered Highly Qualified, you must have ONE of the following; a Bachelor's Degree or an Associates Degree, or 60+ hours of post-secondary education, or a Passing Score on the Para Pro Exam. Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications.

(Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college or a copy of the Para Pro Exam report.)
