Stillwater Area Public Schools offers a role for a Special Education Paraprofessional.

Special Education Paraprofessional will provide instructional and behavioral support for students with special needs. Transferring/lifting of students may be required. Preferred candidate will have experience working with special needs students.
RequirementsIn order to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualified within 10 days of your first day of work. To be considered Highly Qualified, you must have ONE of the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree, or
- An Associates Degree, or
- 60+ credits of post-secondary education, or
- A passing score on the Para Pro Exam.
Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications. Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college/university or a copy of the Para Pro Exam report.
Important UpdateWe can offer a strictly limited 10-day grace period to submit the necessary documents or pass the Para Pro Exam. Stillwater Area Public Schools will pay for you to take the Para Pro Test if you take it through the Harmony Learning Center. However, if you are unable to furnish highly qualified documents or unable to pass the test within the 10-day period, your employment with Stillwater Area Public Schools will be terminated.
You are welcome to re‑apply once you have passed the test.
6.5 hours per day, Monday
