Head Speech Coach

Purpose of the Activity

To prepare students for competitions and performances. Develop lesson plans and training sessions to enhance students' speech skills. Provide constructive feedback to improve performance at practices and competitions.

Activities Director/Principal

Qualifications for the Job

Connection to a high school community
Ability to communicate with high school students
Supportive attitude toward high school students
Education degree and/or counseling background
Previous speech coaching experience preferred

General Duties and Responsibilities

Planning and leading practice sessions
Creating strategies to prepare and lead students for competitions
Providing feedback and coaching at practices and competitions
Following District #834 Code of Ethics for Advisors

Length of Activity

Weeks: 18 (16 hours per week). After School/Saturday – as assigned by the head speech coach.

Public Performance

Scheduled competitions.

Salary (Points)

Co-Curricular points total structured in the SCEA Master Contract.
