O’Neill Electric, an authorized ABM/TEGG Services provider, is seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance Sales Consultant to support the growth of our electrical reliability and preventative maintenance programs.

This role is responsible for developing new client relationships, promoting electrical preventative maintenance services, and helping commercial and industrial customers improve system reliability, safety, and compliance. You will work closely with facility managers, engineers, and business owners to deliver proactive solutions that reduce downtime and extend the life of electrical systems.

In addition to promoting preventative maintenance programs, this role serves as a professional representative of O’Neill Electric and is responsible for promoting all company service offerings.

Pay Structure

Commission-based compensation. Earnings are negotiable and aligned with experience, qualifications, and results.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for preventative electrical maintenance services.
  • Promote O’Neill Electric’s ABM/TEGG preventative maintenance programs, including electrical testing, infrared thermography, and system reliability services.
  • Serve as a representative of O’Neill Electric and actively promote the full range of company services to new and existing customers.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce customers to additional O’Neill Electric services, including electrical service work, low voltage systems, lighting upgrades, EV charging, and electrical construction.
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and professional presentations.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and service agreements.
  • Follow up on leads, referrals, and opportunities to close new business.
  • Maintain and grow long-term service agreement relationships
Client Relationship Management
  • Build strong relationships with facility managers, plant managers, property managers, engineers, and business owners.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on electrical maintenance, reliability, safety, and overall electrical service needs.
  • Conduct facility walkthroughs to identify preventative maintenance and service opportunities.
  • Support contract renewals and expand services within existing accounts.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism while representing the O’Neill Electric brand.
Technical & Industry Knowledge
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution and low voltage systems.
  • Communicate preventative maintenance benefits, including reduced downtime, improved safety, and increased equipment lifespan.
  • Understand and promote O’Neill Electric’s full range of service offerings.
  • Collaborate with O’Neill Electric’s field technicians and service team to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry standards, including NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety best practices.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate sales activity records and pipeline tracking.
  • Track progress toward sales goals and performance targets.
  • Prepare reports and assist with planning and growth initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of sales, electrical, construction, or service industry experience
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience selling preventative maintenance or service agreements (Preferred)
  • Electrical, low voltage, or industrial services background (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of power distribution, preventative maintenance, or testing services (Preferred)
  • Experience working with commercial or industrial clients (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards and electrical safety programs (Preferred)
