Managed Services GIS Technician

Remote for an East Coast Utility Client

RAMTeCH Software Solutions, a global geospatial data management, technical and consulting services, and software solutions company specializing in the utility and telecommunications industries, is seeking an experienced GIS technician to work remotely for a major utility client based on the East Coast. The technician’s main responsibilities will be to perform routine GIS database and map updates for the electric distribution network.

All editing tasks will be performed using ArcGIS/Arc Pro and Schneider Electric’s ArcFM software. All GIS Technicians report to a RAMTeCH manager and work closely with the utility GIS staff in a team environment. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with GIS teammates, as well as utility employees from other departments.

• Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS 10.8.1 or newer. ESRI Arc Pro is a plus.
• Familiarity with Schneider Electric ArcFM is desirable.
• Experience with electric networks is required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and work independently.
• Learn and understand all tasks on the project, including work order processing, data cleanup, and following
• Implement the client model specifications and procedural changes as needed.
• Analyze CAD drawings, various types of maps, and client databases for research.
• Must track all inquiries and work performed in client spreadsheets, databases, or apps.

• Minimum:
  Three years
• Education:
  
  Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, GIS, cartography/geography, or a related field.
• Experience:
  
  GIS technology and solutions, Windows File Explorer, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and SAP.

• Compensation:
