On-Demand Group is currently seeking for a Technical Business Analyst for a 6-months contract engagement.

Technical Business Analyst

6-month Contract

Hybrid in Stillwater, MN

• 5–7+ years of Business Analyst experience
• Technical BA orientation (not purely business-side)
• Retail or grocery domain experience (required; pharmacy is less transferable for this role)
• Strong proven documentation skills: process flows, diagrams, technical specifications
• Self-starter; proactive communicator who does not require micromanagement
• Ability to work in transitional environments with evolving processes

• Receiving, inventory, or back-of-store operations experience (strongly preferred)
• Experience using Microsoft applications, Azure, Teams, Smartsheet and Lucid
• Catapult platform experience
• Experience deploying applications in retail store environments
• Grocery-specific retail experience
• Familiarity with SDLC process
• Jira, X-ray, and Confluence experience

This Technical BA will support a critical receiving/inventory system replacement project, working with the Catapult platform to modernize back-of-store operations. The role requires someone who can operate at the intersection of technical implementation and business process alignment, working across 5–6 business teams to gather requirements, create documentation, and drive the project forward without getting mired in legacy process debates.

• Lead requirements gathering and documentation for a receiving/inventory system replacement project
• Integrate and coordinate across 5–6 business teams and vendors
• Create and maintain technical documentation: process flows, diagrams, test plans and development specifications
• Engage proactively with business stakeholders to translate needs into actionable technical requirements
• Work within SDLC (Systems Delivery Live Cycle) framework
• Take direction from PM and be empowered to independently drive tasks to completion
• Navigate legacy process challenges while advocating for alignment to the new system’s capabilities
• Test downstream integrations:
  Veri Balance, e-commerce, Inmar, Solutran, Incomm, Excentus, Pharmacy

The projected hourly range for this position is $50 to $55.
