Associate Buyer

The Associate Buyersupports the Purchasingdepartmentbyassistingwith procurement activities of spot buy items and sustaining stock supplies as required. The Associate Buyer also performs Cycle Counting to ensure inventoryaccuracy. This role combines administrative purchasing support with hands-on material handling responsibilities and plays a critical role inmaintaininguninterrupted production flow,accurate inventory records, and organized material storage.

• Assistthe purchasing department with purchase order processing, updates, and ERP system maintenance where needed.
• Maintain MRO Inventories bysubmittingPOs as needed and stocking supply areas on the floor and office areas of Polywater.
• Support supplier communication related to order status, lead times, delivery scheduling, and discrepancies.
• Help manage open purchase ordersas neededand notify the Buyer & Supply Chain Manager of delays or material shortagesimpactingproduction schedules.
• Perform inventory cycle counts of raw and finished goods inventories.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 1–3 years of experience inpurchasingsupportormaterial handlingpreferred.
• Basic understanding ofpurchasingprinciples, inventory control, and material flow.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) preferred
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently once trained.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Dependable, safety-conscious team player with a can-do attitude.

• Requires moderately strenuous physical activity at a sustained level over the course of a shift.
• Require ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds on a regular basis using assistive devices for moving materials greater than 50 pounds.
• Static Strength for lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying required.
• Trunk Strength using the lower back and stomachrequired.
• Multilimbed coordination using arms and/or legs together while sittingorstandingrequired.
