Indirect Procurement Buyer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Indirect Procurement Buyer to support day-to-day procurement operations. This role is critical in ensuring smooth purchasing processes, timely order fulfillment, and effective supplier management.

This is an immediate, short-term need with the possibility of extension or full-time conversion based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage indirect procurement purchase orders (POs) in Oracle from creation through completion
  • Create, modify, and expedite purchase orders to meet business timelines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier inquiries and issue resolution
  • Obtain, analyze, and compare supplier quotes to support purchasing decisions
  • Support vendor onboarding and ensure accurate system setup
  • Resolve discrepancies related to orders, invoices, receiving, and payments
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Accounts Payable, Receiving, and internal stakeholders
  • Provide procurement guidance, updates, and issue resolution to internal teams
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
  • Strong hands-on experience processing purchase orders
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and communications
  • Experience obtaining and comparing supplier quotes
  • Experience resolving procurement-related discrepancies (orders, invoices, payments)
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Experience with Oracle ERP (procurement/purchasing modules required)
  • Demonstrated experience creating and modifying POs in Oracle, including expense POs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Comfortable engaging daily with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Stillwater, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
