Job Description
As an RN – General Resource Team (Float Pool) you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; provide direction and oversight for nursing care by unlicensed personnel; document functions such as carrying out provider’s medical orders; assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; create a safe and therapeutic environment; coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to patients, their families, health professionals, and important others;
and perform related duties as assigned.
28 hours weekly / .7 FTE Nights, 11p‑7a, every other weekend.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Licensed as an RN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing or hold a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Board of State Registry.
- Registered nurses re‑entering the nursing field who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course; written certification must be provided before employment.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider).
- Stable within one year of the start date.
- NRP required within six months of the start date.
- External per diem/casual on‑call applicants:
Must have at least one year (2080 hours) of experience in an acute care setting.
- Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in a Baccalaureate in Nursing program.
