RN Nurse, Charge Nurse
Job Description
The Administrative Nursing Supervisor (ANS) is responsible for coordinating and facilitating patient care and optimizing patient flow within the hospital. The ANS serves as a resource to patient care staff for problem‑solving care issues, resource utilization, and policy/procedure interpretation during assigned shifts. The ANS collaborates with charge RNs in resource utilization and assists the hospital administrator on‑call for any house‑wide or high‑risk issues that occur during off‑shifts and weekends.

Casual – as needed.
- Graduation from a Registered Nurse (RN) program
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Associate degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of hospital‑related acute care clinical experience; previous supervisory experience
- Licensed as an RN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing or holding a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
- Acute care RN experience in more than one specialty or level of care
- Specialty certification in the RN’s area of expertise (e.g., CCRN, PCCN, CNOR, CPAN, CAPA)
