Deli Clerk - Part Time

River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Part Time Deli Clerk! Experience-based pay ranging from $18.27 - $19.58 per hour
. Approximately 18-24 hours/week. Must have availability to work weekends. Candidates without availability to work weekends will not be considered.

Learn valuable, transferable job skills in our Deli! Deli Clerks build salads, sandwiches, burritos, and other made-to-order items. Reports to:

Deli Manager

• Greet and assist customers with placing and picking up orders.
• Prepare and execute daily production list.
• Assist with sanitizing and cleaning between customers.
• Follow all directions accurately and in accordance with established production guidelines.
• Work in an open, forward-facing kitchen.

• Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing and reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must have weekend and evening availability.
• Must be 18 years old to operate the slicer machine.
• Performs basic arithmetic including counting, addition and subtraction.
• Preferred experience in food service like deli, catering, restaurant.
• Preferred experience serving customers.

• Constant (67-100%):
  Walking, standing, lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds floor to waist, talking, hearing, correctable vision including near acuity and depth perception.
• Frequent (34-66%):
  Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, lifting/reaching waist to shoulder, lifting/reaching above the shoulder.
• Occasional (1-33%):
  Working in refrigeration, pushing, pulling, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds floor to waist, lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance floor to waist.
• Approximately 5% of the time
