About this Position

Responsible for general operations of the Central Supply unit. Research suppliers for products, maintain inventory, process purchases and returns, various accounting functions, receiving and shipping of products, work within hospital systems, and various other duties required of the position.

Required Qualifications
  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

  • Five years experience in purchasing supplies and handling inventories. Experience with pharmaceuticals and veterinary care clinic experience is desirable. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience (1 year of post-secondary equals 1 year of experience).

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to interact professionally with all levels of administration. Must be self-motivated and well organized. Capable of independent judgement, decision making, and performing with minimal oversight or supervision. MS Office experience. Confidentiality required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's

    Veterinary Office Management or Veterinary Technician

  • Associate’s degree or an equivalent education and experience in Veterinary care office management, purchasing, or other related field and experience with computers and office equipment desired.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    RVT

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Veterinary Medical Terminology

    Electronic inventory system
